Asia Pacific Journal of Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Energy (APJSAFE) implements a structured and transparent peer-review process to ensure the scientific quality and integrity of published manuscripts.
All manuscripts are submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) and undergo an initial editorial screening to verify administrative completeness, compliance with author guidelines, relevance to the journal’s scope, and plagiarism screening. This stage is normally completed within one week. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief and then forwarded to the peer-review stage. APJSAFE applies a Single-blind Peer Review system, in which the reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, while the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who assess the scientific quality, methodology, originality, and contribution of the work.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes an editorial decision (acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection). Authors are required to revise their manuscripts accordingly. The review and revision process may involve multiple rounds before a final decision is made. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, DOI registration, and publication according to the journal’s schedule.
