The Journal of Industrial, Civil, and Environmental Engineering (JICEE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK), Universitas Bakrie, Indonesia. JICEE provides a dedicated cross-disciplinary publication space for research that connects industrial engineering, civil engineering, and environmental engineering — three fields that have grown increasingly interdependent in addressing the complexity of modern, technology-driven infrastructure development. While most established engineering journals in Indonesia and abroad continue to treat these disciplines separately, JICEE was created specifically to close that gap, giving multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research on sustainable infrastructure a representative home.

The journal's intellectual identity is organized around three converging focus areas — Sustainability, Smart System, and Integrated System Engineering — applied across three fields of study: Industrial Process Technology, Infrastructure Engineering Technology, and Environmental Technology. This structure allows JICEE to publish research that genuinely sits at the intersection of system optimization, digital and intelligent technologies, and environmental stewardship, rather than research forced into a single disciplinary silo.

To safeguard the quality of every publication, JICEE applies a rigorous double-blind peer-review process supported by an editorial board and a panel of national and international reviewers drawn from universities and research institutions in Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia. Looking ahead, JICEE aims to grow its reviewer network, strengthen its editorial governance, and pursue indexation in reputable national and international databases, positioning itself as a long-term reference point for engineers, researchers, and policymakers working on sustainable, intelligent infrastructure
